Air Travel:

Bassano in Teverina is about an hour and ten minutes north of Rome. The main airport in Rome is Leonardo da Vinci- Fiumicino Airport. (FCO). There is another airport called Ciampino Airport (CIA), but it is Rome's minor airport and most international flights will arrive at Fiumicino (FCO). If you have a connecting flight, make sure on your itinerary at which airport you will be arriving.

Transportation from Airport:

By Train:

There are trains from both Fiumicino (FCO) and Ciampino (CIA) airports that run hourly from morning to evening to the city of ORTE, where there is the Orte Train Station. The Orte Train Station is 15 minutes by car from Bassano in Teverina. Guests arriving before the 24th of May, I will be happy to pick you up from the train station and take you to your accommodations. Unfortunately I will not be able to provide transportation the day of the wedding (May 24th). There is also a taxi that runs from Orte Train Station to surrounding cities. But as we are in a rural region of Italy, Uber is hard to find.

Rental Car:

Because Bassano in Teverina and the surrounding Medieval villages are in the rural Tuscian countryside, a car provides more freedom and independence to explore the charms all around, because once you arrive at your accommodations, without a car, your options for transportation will be limited.. The wedding venue itself has a hotel, restaurant, and a pool, but is not within walking distance of the town nearby. Those not staying at the venue will need transportation to reach the wedding venue, etc. If you can drive standard, even better, because standard cars are much more economical to rent than automatic. In Italy, we do drive on the right side of the road! (Thank goodness.) I really do think car rental is the best option for most guests. Car rental agencies are located at both airports, as well as throughout the city of Rome. Google maps is my best friend here, and works well in Italy.

Black Car or Taxi:

Blacklane Car Service and other limousine services will run from Rome to Bassano in Teverina and surrounding villages. White Taxis will as well, but as you can imagine, this is costly, and options for transportation are limited upon arrival at your accommodations.

Accommodations:

There are a few hotels and AirBnbs/ VRBOs in the sweet medieval village of Bassano in Teverina as well.

Fifteen to twenty minutes from Bassano in Teverina is my village called Soriano nel Cimino. Soriano nel Cimino is a picturesque medieval village complete with a castle. In Soriano you will find hotels and many AirBnbs.
